Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate has a strong background selling complex healthcare IT or SaaS solutions, thrives in long, consultative sales cycles, and has a demonstrated ability to carry and exceed quota
- 5+ years of enterprise sales experience in healthcare IT, SaaS, or interoperability solutions
- Demonstrated success carrying and exceeding quotas in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments
- Proven ability to navigate long, consultative sales cycles with large healthcare systems
- Experience selling into both government agencies and private health systems is highly desirable
- Strong executive presence with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce preferred) and Google Workspace
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and trade shows
What the job involves
- We are seeking a proven enterprise Account Executive to join our sales team in the Southeast region
- This role is responsible for driving new business and expanding existing relationships within large healthcare systems and government/private healthcare organizations
- You’ll be responsible for hunting new opportunities, expanding accounts through upsell/cross-sell, and ensuring contract renewals
- Own the full sales cycle: prospect, qualify, present, negotiate, and close new business within enterprise healthcare accounts
- Consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts; partner with Customer Success to drive retention and renewals
- Build trusted relationships with C-level executives, IT leaders, and key stakeholders in large health systems
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations tailored to client needs
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Product, Customer Success) to drive account strategy and customer value
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in CRM (Salesforce)
- Stay current on healthcare IT, interoperability standards, and market trends to position Medicom competitively
Our take
Data in the healthcare sector is notoriously siloed. Different health systems and providers are poorly connected, making information exchange complex. This is what Medicom hopes to change with its federated health information network.
This approach sees medical image data from across all these different healthcare silos collected under a single interface. This way, practitioners across the healthcare sector can use this data to better inform decisions on patient care.
It's a valuable offering, but its success will rely somewhat on the participation of healthcare organizations. Medicom has raised good levels of funding that it will use alongside strategic partnerships to further innovate on the platform and accelerate go-to-market efforts.
