What the job involves
- As a People Business Partner supporting our Finance and People teams, you’ll be both hands-on and strategic—able to roll up your sleeves to address immediate needs while shaping initiatives that drive long-term organizational effectiveness, engagement, and growth
- You’ll partner closely with leaders, managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to align our People strategy with business priorities, and you’ll use data to inform impactful decisions
- You’ll be the strategic builder who shapes and delivers initiatives focused on organizational effectiveness and fostering employee engagement
- Your responsibilities will include aligning our People strategy with overarching business objectives, acting as a key partner to Finance and People executives and senior leaders, and championing employee engagement efforts
- You’ll balance high-level strategic influence with the ability to get close to the work, ensuring initiatives are grounded in team needs
- Strategic Partnership: Provide strategic and tactical guidance to Finance and People leaders and managers, leveraging your expertise to influence engagement, development, and retention strategies
- Building and Growing: Thrive in environments with minimal structure. You bring innovative ideas and the scrappiness to make them real
- Hands-On Execution: Balance strategic thinking with execution, diving into the details when needed to ensure programs deliver measurable impact
- Data-Driven Insights: Use data to identify trends and opportunities, guiding the design and implementation of impactful People projects and programs
- Change Management: Lead large-scale change initiatives in our dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring seamless transitions and organizational alignment
- Talent Management: Partner with department leaders to drive initiatives such as performance reviews, succession planning, and organizational design
- Employee Relations: Offer counsel and guidance on complex employee relations matters, fostering a culture of trust and transparency
- Collaboration: Partner closely with People Ops, Talent, Finance, and cross-functional teams to develop and deploy programs that empower our workforce
Our take
Many cloud service providers can suffer from slow prediction speeds when they are used for data modeling. CoreWeave solves this problem with its specialized cloud service provider.
CoreWeave reduces prediction times and makes service requests faster and more efficient. This, in turn, cuts cloud costs considerably. This has proven to be a strong draw for many companies, with CoreWeave signing a lucrative partnership with GPU heavyweight NVIDIA as well as partnering with BitOoda, which has allowed it to expand its operations to the financial market.
However, in 2023 it closed three very significant rounds of funding (Series B and debt and secondary extensions), which is being invested into expanding its US-based data centers, opening two new ones in the coming year. The question remains whether, despite 2023's big investments in the sector, CoreWeave can maintain this momentum and whether generative AI's stock will continue to rise.
