Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of technical recruiting experience in high-growth US-headquartered tech startups
- Proven experience in hiring hard-to-fill technical tools, with expertise in using sourcing tools, conducting market research, and developing personalized outreach strategies
- Ability to analyze and interpret recruiting metrics, conversion rates, and market data, using these insights to refine strategies and provide actionable feedback to hiring managers
- Quickly familiarize oneself with new roles and requirements, showcasing flexibility, curiosity, and a high tolerance for change in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Exceptional communication skills to work effectively with hiring managers, provide regular updates, and manage expectations. Skilled at building trust and acting as a strategic partner in the hiring process
- Strong persistence and a results-oriented mindset to handle challenges, follow up on passive leads, and meet ambitious outreach targets

What the job involves
- The Talent team at TRM is made up of seasoned professionals who have experience hiring world-class Engineering, Data Science, GTM, and People teams for the most notable startups in Silicon Valley
- As a Technical Recruiter, you will help drive the R&D Org's ability to attract, engage, and hire top talent at TRM. Your success will be measured by the velocity and quality of TRM's talent acquisition
- Build a high-velocity recruiting engine that efficiently identifies and recruits the best technical talent to TRM
- Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of technical roles and teams
- Create positive candidate experiences throughout every touchpoint
- Develop creative and impactful sourcing strategies that will help us find and hire a diverse and exceptional team
- Continuously improve our recruiting processes and increase the efficiency of our hiring
- As a globally distributed team, we operate across various time zones, yet most of us overlap for collaboration and meetings between 7am-12pm PST, bringing flexibility and resilience to our work routines
- All team members, regardless of location, maintain at least a 4-hour overlap with PST business hours to enable real-time collaboration and drive solutions effectively across the team
- Within 72 hours of receiving a position, you schedule the intake meeting, open the position in the ATS, post the description, design the interview process, configure the interview plan
- Within week of opening a position, you have conducted 5-10 Recruiter Screens and have conducted the first sync with the Hiring Team for calibration
- Two weeks after the initial interviews, you analyze the data to identify what is and isn’t driving pass rates and conversions
- You share your insights and recommendations with the hiring team to refine and optimize the search, and you continue to monitor and adjust the approach until the position is filled
Our take
The crypto space has become more mainstream but it is also intensely volatile and poorly regulated, with a high degree of anonymity afforded to its users. As such it has become a major source of financial fraud with $20 billion in crypto stolen in 2022 alone. TRM Lab exists to return trust to the blockchain, helping banks, government agencies and crypto companies detect and combat fraud with its blockchain intelligence solutions.
As the risk of blockchain fraud is only increasing, with the proceeds often being used for organized crime, there are a number of companies working in this space. TRM stands out with the breadth of its crypto asset coverage and the strength of its cross-chain analytics. It has partnered with the FBI and Europol to aid its investigations, and is also used by major crypto companies MoonPay and Binance.
The company has grown its revenue by almost 500% year on year since its founding in 2018, and has recently raised a significant amount of capital in a Series B fundraising round. It is planning to use this money to further develop its product and hire additional talent. As businesses and government agencies increasingly come to grips with fraud in the crypto space, TRM is well poised to continue its rapid growth.
