What the job involves

- We’re now hiring a Workplace Manager to join our People team
- This is a unique opportunity to combine operational excellence with creativity - managing our London office, supporting our growing global footprint, and building an environment where people love to work
- As the office-based lead, take ownership of the day-to-day running of our London office, ensuring it’s safe, welcoming, and set up for productivity
- Manage all vendor relationships, office supplies, and equipment
- Oversee facilities, health & safety compliance, and building management in partnership with our co-working partners
- Support onboarding logistics - making sure new joiners feel at home and have everything they need from day one
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and the overall workplace experience
- Own office layout planning and optimisation, ensuring our space evolves effectively as teams scale, including seating plans, neighbourhoods, meeting-room configurations, and space forecasting as teams continue to scale
- Manage operational subscriptions and tooling across 9fin, ensuring cost-effectiveness, renewal tracking, and alignment with company needs
- Maintain organised internal documentation (processes, checklists, vendors, subscriptions, playbooks) to support operational clarity and continuity
- Plan and deliver team events, socials, and initiatives that connect and energise our London team
- Partner with People Partners to design and deliver global engagement events, ensuring all 9finners feel part of one community, regardless of location
- Support company-wide events such as Town Halls, offsites, and celebrations
- Act as a cultural ambassador, embedding 9fin’s values into the workplace and everyday experiences
- Collaborate with the People team on employee surveys, action planning, and initiatives that strengthen engagement and belonging
- Own internal communications for 9fin - crafting, coordinating, and distributing clear, engaging, and timely updates across key channels (Slack, email, in-person events, office screens, etc.)
- Define and maintain our “how we communicate” standards - setting up and managing communication norms, guidelines, and channels across Slack and Notion to ensure information flows clearly, consistently, and effectively
- Work closely with teams across our global offices, providing support where needed as we expand our international presence
- Share best practices and support consistency in workplace and engagement standards worldwide
- While the role is primarily UK-focused, there may be occasional requirements to support internationally - including office relocation coordination, internal communications support for global teams, and contributions to culture-building across our international locations
- Support cross-functional operational initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce friction, or enhance the employee experience across teams
- Coordinate company-wide subscriptions and vendor management, ensuring clarity on ownership, renewals, spend visibility, and compliance
- Champion AI adoption within 9fin by identifying opportunities to automate, streamline, or enhance workflows in line with our company approach to AI
- Evaluate, implement, and support AI-powered tools that improve operational effectiveness
- Partner with IT, People, and Ops teams to ensure AI tools are rolled out responsibly, with clear processes, training, and feedback loops
- Track efficiencies and improvements delivered through AI initiatives and share insights to support wider organisational learning

9fin’s initial aim was to solve the problem of extracting data out of financial documents. It quickly turned to AI, where computer vision tools can be deployed to find key financial data point quickly and automatically.
Its AI tools learn to understand the complicated legal clauses in contracts, automating a lot of the manual work that's usually involve in this space. 9fin also has a team of journalists and analysts who product news and analysis that help make sense of complex situations. The result is an integrated platform that debt capital market professionals can use to make quicker and better investment decisions.
9fin is used by leading banks, hedge funds, and asset managers around the world. The company has seen significant investment, the most recent of which will support the scaling of its team and expansion of its product into new asset classes, as well as helping it to grow its presence in the US, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.
