Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject is strongly preferred
- 4 to 6 years experience in generalist HR capacity with firm understanding of all of the disciplines within HR: Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HR Systems, HR Operations
- Proven ability to diagnose problems and drive appropriate solutions with self-initiative
- Experience with Workday, Salesforce, Tableau, GSuite preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information and communicate with all levels of employees
- Experience supporting multiple countries and basic knowledge about local labor laws
- Professional working proficiency in French or German is a plus
- Can thrive in a frequently changing, yet extremely exciting and vibrant environment, that will make a positive impact on the culture and employee experience
- Can cope with a fast paced environment and is comfortable with, at times, a high volume of work
- Ability to work cross functionally and establish trusted partnerships, effectively and efficiently
- Has a strong solutions focus mindset and ability to identify the root cause in order to ensure issues don't have to be revisited
What the job involves
- WeWork is seeking a talented, hands-on, member for our People Team who exemplifies teamwork and professionalism
- The People Partner will advise and collaborate with WeWork’s Leaders for our EMEA Territory to create, implement and enhance value focused people solutions that drive growth, increase efficiency and strengthen capabilities
- The People Partner will act as a partner to WeWork’s organization to drive growth, increase talent efficiency, strengthen people capabilities and enable scale across the business
- In this role, you will be responsible for both contributing to the development of organization and people programs & initiatives, as well as the successful execution of various company wide people programs, business specific change initiatives, and employee engagement activities
- Take ownership of employee concerns and act as a partner, trusted advisor, and coach
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local employment laws
- Partner with other departments to expedite employee questions/concerns (ie: payroll, benefits, leaves, compensation, global mobility, learning, etc)
- Ensure that HR systems are kept current and accurate for proper reporting
- Adopt and adapt existing WeWork HR practices and policies, developing local approaches to manage an effective regional HR function
- Develop and maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure company’s compliance

Our take
WeWork is a commercial real estate company that pioneered the shared workspace market, providing spaces for anyone from freelancers to Fortune 500s. Traditional leases typically require businesses to commit to an office for 5-10 years, whilst WeWork allows its members to scale up from a single hot desk to a private office or custom-built suite, depending on their needs.
WeWork has hundreds of locations across the globe, with hundreds of thousands of members. While its initial rapid growth and dominance in key global hubs was impressive, it has since had to scale back and strategically re-align itself in an unstable economic climate.
There is certainly still potential for WeWork to see renewed growth and success, especially as remote and hybrid working continues to be popular. That said, observers will have to wait to see the eventual affect of its restructuring - and only time will tell what the company's future looks like.
