- You have a B.A./B.S. with ~10 years of experience as a Compensation Analyst (or equivalent, such as Financial Planning) in a tech environment

What the job involves
- We are seeking a Sr. Compensation Manager to support us attracting, retaining, and motivating the best talent by providing analysis, consultation, and insight for compensation matters
- The Sr. Compensation Manager will work cross-functionally and collaborate in planning, developing, implementing, communicating, and administering compensation programs and mechanics that support OpenTable’s overall strategy
- Your work will touch our short and long-term incentives, benchmarking and survey analysis, and more
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and processes to recommend changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives
- Effectively communicate and promote an understanding of OpenTable’s compensation philosophy, practices, and administration across all levels of the organization. Create compensation materials and training to illustrate variable and incentive compensation related information and changes
- Advocate and gain consensus with executives on our compensation programs, processes, and tools
- Liaise with FP&A and our holding company to formulate accurate compensation related forecasts, and adhere to established budgets
- Lead mid-year and year-end compensation cycles, ensuring smooth and efficient execution, and managing within internal and external controls
- Serve as the subject matter expert for compensation structure, business processes, and job profile data, partnering closely with HR Systems, Talent Acquisition, and Business Partners to ensure they are equipped with the relevant insights and guidance needed to make informed decisions
- Develop a deep understanding of the OpenTable organizational structure, jobs, and business to inform accurate, rigorous market pricing
- Champion and embody the OpenTable culture, mission and values

OpenTable was one of the earliest innovators in the online reservation space, setting up shop in 1998 as a tool to enable restaurants to take bookings online. Rather than charging consumers for the service, OpenTable generates revenue via a monthly subscription and reservation fee from businesses.
Today, the platform is used by tens of thousands of restaurants around the world and seats over 1 billion diners per year. The company was acquired by Booking Holdings – the world's largest travel company – for $2.6 billion in 2014, and remains a subsidiary of the group to this day.
OpenTable is the dominant player in the restaurant reservation software category, with an impressive 45% market share, but does face increasing competition from platforms like Resy, Tock, TableAgent, and many more. Nonetheless, this market leader has garnered an impressive reputation, and there is nothing to say it won't hold on to the dominance it has earned into the future.
