Who you are
- A deep understanding of brand voice, storytelling, and audience-driven messaging
- A portfolio that showcases a range of work, from big brand campaigns to digital performance content with strong conceptual thinking and clean execution
- Expertise in creating concepting and pitching copy ideas and delivering content in a fast pace omnichannel environment
- Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated experience working with designers, marketers, and product teams
- Ability to manage complexity and high impact projects
- Meticulous attention to detail in grammar, syntax, and tone
- Experience with UX writing, SEO, or naming is a plus
- A passion for brand building
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a sharp, strategic, and highly creative Senior Copywriter to join our in-house brand creative team
- Reporting into the Associate Creative Director, this is a key role for a storyteller who understands how to craft compelling narratives that connect with audiences across a range of touchpoints from digital campaigns and social content to product messaging and branded experiences
- Craft clear, engaging, and on-brand copy across multiple platforms for brand campaigns: digital ads, landing pages, email, social, video scripts, brand campaigns, retail signage, and more
- Lead copy and creative development on key campaigns and initiatives, from kickoff to execution
- Help evolve and maintain our brand voice, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints
- Translate ideas into engaging, human, and memorable messaging
- Present work confidently to stakeholders and explain the strategic thinking behind your words
- Leverage cultural trends, consumer behaviour, and industry best practices to keep our brand fresh and interesting to our audience

- Campaign performance
- TOV consistency & brand alignment
- Stakeholder collaboration and relationship building
- Creative effectiveness (A/B test results showing visual performance differences)
- On-time project delivery rate

Our take
Traditional jewelry retailers often target men for gifting - in part to make higher mark-ups acceptable. Mejuri, however, is putting the purchasing decision back with women with its direct-to-customer strategy. Instead of releasing large batches of seasonal pieces, Mejuri introduces only a small quantity of products each week, which allows it to translate trends and consumer feedback sentiments into its designs in a timely manner.
Having accumulated millions of visitors to its website, it is clear that Mejuri has captured a lot of interest. It has released over 1,000 designs since its launch, has an impressively long waitlist, and boasts that a large portion of its monthly transactions come from returning customers.
Despite its online focus, Mejuri has opened a number of brick-and-mortar stores across the US, Canada, and the UK. The company's current focus appears to be on this offline expansion, as it tries to push beyond its biggest markets into the other countries it ships to, as well as investing in branding and the customer experience.
