Security Engineer, Amazon

• Experience managing large cross-functional security efforts, resulting in delivery of significant security improvements within highly complex systems
• Experience in three of the following areas: edge and delivery security (DDoS, CDNs, etc.), mobile applications, device security, threat modeling, authentication, web and network protocols, data structures and algorithms, application security, code reviews, software development, penetration tests, or vulnerability assessments
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, product managers, and senior business leaders with security metrics to influence decisions

Desirable

• Participate in and support application security reviews that include threat modeling, code review, and security testing
• * Provide durable, technical security guidance to mitigate identified risks
• * Review existing processes and suggest improvements for increased security and efficiency
• * Independently solve security problems that require novel methods or approaches
• * Build Security metrics to track the effectiveness of our security excellence programs and to influence your team's and partner's process, priorities and choices to improve outcomes
• * Mentor and guide security champions embedded throughout the engineering team
