7+ Years of Experience working on similar roles

What the job involves

The IT team at Glydways is responsible for the comprehensive management of corporate applications and day-to-day technical operations. This includes providing technical support, managing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms, ensuring robust security, and overseeing the entire user lifecycle
This role will be integral in supporting our daily operations, encompassing technical support, and will also drive key project implementations such as Mobile Device Management (MDM), Single Sign-On (SSO), and the development of IT policies, among others
Troubleshooting and maintenance: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems. Monitor system performance, manage backups, and apply updates
Employee Life Cycle: Onboard and offboard new users, order and setup equipment
Technical support and training: Provide technical support to end-users and train them on new systems and hardware
System design, implementation and Maintenance: Design, build, and implement computer systems, SaaS tools, networks, and databases to meet business needs. Monitor and maintain our current software, SaaS tools and hardware
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of system designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures

Our take

Although more than 4000 cities across the globe meet the threshold for necessary urban mass transit systems, under 5% of them have the capacity to make it a reality. Glydways' autonomous electricity-powered transport systems could provide a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative for the 95% without rail or transport systems.

Glydways' Personal Rapid Transit systems consist of battery-operated electric vehicles called Glydcars that travel on dedicated rights of way. These “roads” can be built above ground level or through tunnels, and can integrate with other forms of public transport already existing within the city or town.

Whilst the addition of Glydcars' infrastructure raises questions about additional costs, the company’s mass transit solution has nonetheless attracted positive attention and serious investment from the likes of Bill Gates' venture fund, Gates Frontier. Its Series C round of funding was followed by news that Glydway is involved in over 100 different mass transit projects, with a world tour of its vehicles taking place through 2025.
