Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate for this role has previous account management experience in channel sales or value-added reseller programs and possesses great communication and interpersonal skills
- They must feel comfortable delivering presentations to small groups of people online, as well as in person
- A good understanding of the SaaS sales process and proficiency in customer relationship management software are a must
- Knowledge of the fintech industry and financial accounting skills are a huge plus
- Strong communication skills in German (C1/2C2) and English on a professional level (company language)
- At least 4 years of experience in a channel management or sales-related role such as Account Executive
- Experience in a SaaS company selling products to mid-market and large companies is strongly preferred
- Experience with the ecosystems of Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or SAP is considered a plus
- Proven track record of successfully achieving company targets
- An energetic and highly-motivated individual with a strong desire to work in a dynamic tech start-up environment and handle ambiguity with a solutions-oriented mindset
What the job involves
- At Payhawk we maintain a diverse network of partners, which includes ISVs, ERP software integrators, financial advisers and accounting firms
- As a Partnership Manager you will own and maintain the relationships with existing partner accounts, while identifying and incubating new partnership opportunities
- This role requires regular collaboration with Payhawk’s sales, customer success, solution engineering, marketing, and legal teams. Some business travel is expected
- Partner prospecting, acquisition and recruitment
- Own and develop the regional partner GTM strategy
- Sales-enablement training to the business development teams of partner companies
- Contract negotiation
- Lead tracking and assignments within Payhawk’s sales organization
- Identifying and developing champions within partner companies that will promote our product internally
- Coordination of co-marketing campaigns
- Frequent partner performance reporting
- Representing the company at industry conferences and events
Our take
Finance teams often juggle a number of disconnected tools to manage the company's spend, with expense management, invoicing, company cards and subscriptions covered by different software packages. These aren't really designed to interact with one another, which can cause friction and create a lot of manual work. Payhawk is changing this with a unified platform to replace all individual B2B payments services, allowing a company to manage its expenses in a single place.
Operating mainly in Europe and the UK, Payhawk competes with the likes of Spendesk and Revolut Business. Where Payhawk stands out is in its flexibility in how its customers can configure its workflows, and its attentive and rapid customer support. This has seen it grow a large international customer base including the likes of Wagestream, LloydsDirect and Vinted to name a few.
Payhawk closed the second phase of its Series B funding round in 2022, with a valuation that made it the first ever Bulgarian unicorn. It has used this funding to open new offices in Paris, Amsterdam and New York as it launched its expansion into the US market. It will continue to develop its product and hire new talent, planning to grow its UK headcount by 44% in 2024 off the back of massive growth in 2023.
