Who you are
- We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow
- 3+ years of hands-on recruiting and sourcing experience, preferably in an international, dynamic start up and/or agency environment
- You thrive as an individual contributor, taking ownership of your hiring projects while driving data and results independently
- Strong ability to assess and evaluate candidate profiles to ensure alignment with job requirements, company culture, and values
- You can easily navigate ATS platforms (we use TeamTailor) and sourcing tools (such as LinkedIn Recruiter)
- You have a headhunter mindset, excelling at sourcing passive candidates and creatively engaging talent, especially for hard-to-fill or niche roles
- You are self motivated, proactive, and resourceful in finding solutions and staying ahead in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Desirable
- Experience working within FinTech or a strong understanding of the financial services industry, particularly in areas like investment, digital banking, and emerging financial technologies
- A passion for finance and investing, and a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest FinTech trends, innovations, and market shifts
- Fluency in German, both written and spoken

- We are the Talent Acquisition team of Upvest and part of the People Team
- Our team consists of three professionals focusing on attracting and hiring top-quality, diverse talents that drive our company’s success
- Acting as strategic partners to our stakeholders, we promote our employer brand while ensuring a smooth and inclusive candidate experience
- Our goal is to contribute to the long-term growth and culture of Upvest by hiring individuals who align with our values and mission
- Take responsibility for the recruitment life cycle attracting the best talent for various departments
- Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies to attract top passive and diverse candidates for various roles
- Cultivate a strong talent pipeline by using your network, attending industry events, and innovative sourcing techniques to find the best talent
- Collaborate with stakeholders and hiring managers advising them on best practices while influencing their decision-making
- Act as a strategic partner for the entire hiring team playing a key role ensuring that the right hiring decisions are made
Our take
Upvest is a fintech startup that empowers financial services companies to provide their customers with access to a full range of financial assets, including stocks, ETFs and crypto products. Upvest's investment API integrates seamlessly with its customers existing systems and is designed to scale easily, freeing companies from the need to develop their own brokerage and custody infrastructure from scratch.
As one of the few companies in Germany that is licensed for both the custody of traditional securities and crypto, Upvest is able to provide its services across Europe. Its solution has been readily adopted by some major players in the space including Ginmon, Vivid and ABN AMRO.
Upvest is backed by a number of Europe's largest tech VCs (Earlybird, Notion Capital, Partech, HV Capital, ABN AMRO Ventures) alongside American investment monolith BlackRock. In 2023 it closed a VC investment round which the company has claimed is one of the largest in the German fintech arena. Its impressive capital raise will go some way to achieving Upvest's goals of profitability as it expands into the US market.
