Role
Who you are
- Quantitative & data rigour: You are highly comfortable in Google Sheets/Excel. You can build your own financial models and business cases to prove ROI to NHS Finance Directors
- Executive credibility: You have experience pitching to or working directly with NHS executives (COOs, Medical Directors, etc.) and command natural seniority and confidence
- Strategic thinking: The ability to navigate long sales cycles and position Isla within national and regional priorities
- Enterprise sales track record: Success in leading large, consultative deals or transformation programmes within healthcare
- Passion & energy: A deep desire to solve global problems and make a positive change in patient healthcare
Desirable
- NHS "Insider" credibility: You have either sold heavily into the NHS at scale (enterprise deals) or you have worked within the NHS in a senior capacity. You "speak the language" and understand how decisions actually get made
What the job involves
- 🕙 Role details: This is a full time role for 40 contracted hours per week
- We’re looking for a talented Partnership Lead to join Isla’s Sales team
- In this dynamic role, you’ll lead complex sales cycles and high-level, vision-led pitches to NHS executive stakeholders (COOs, CDIOs, and CFOs)
- As a senior hire, you will materially improve our ability to hit revenue targets by owning high-value NHS opportunities end-to-end
- The ideal candidate will bring "insider" NHS knowledge and a sense of seniority that gives stakeholders immediate assurance
- While harnessing relationship building, you will also rely on credibility and quantitative skills to build robust financial opportunity models and compelling business cases that quantify the impact of Isla deployments
- Over the next 12 months, you will:
- Own the executive pitch: Lead vision-led conversations with NHS C-suite stakeholders, focusing on system-wide impact rather than just product features
- Lead executive-level engagement: Own a portfolio of strategic opportunities, navigating NHS governance and procurement to move deals from identification to close
- Develop quantitative business cases: Use Google Sheets/Excel to build robust financial models that translate messy operational reality into structured numbers for execs
- Leverage your network: Use your existing NHS connections and "insider" status to open doors and navigate complex procurement and governance routes
- Drive strategic growth & shape commercial strategy: Feed structured market insights back into the business to steer key decisions and the product roadmap
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with our Product and Delivery teams to ensure the commercial promises we make align with clinical reality
Our take
Isla wants to empower healthcare professionals by allowing them to use visual data—photos and videos of patients—by securely recording this data to a medical professional's smartphone.
The ambitious startup has partnered with the Central London Community Healthcare Trust and the NHS, successfully supporting various NHS trusts on their digitisation journey. Isla will focus on leveraging visual data to improve end-of-life care and dermatology services. Additionally, the company has added an Impact page to its website, showcasing evidence of Isla's benefits.
Now that a case can be made for visual health data flows being helpful, the company's platform could see even wider adoption. Once sufficiently high-quality data sets have been collected, Isla can use the visual data, provided with patient consent, to inform medical practice more generally.
The next few years at Isla should be interesting as the company is looking to replicate the operation of its product across several hospitals and healthcare facilities. Isla's end game is to be fully integrated into all incumbent Patient Administration Systems to make the platform seamless for clinicians.
