Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, leadership skills, and experience in building a team
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role or similar position
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting standards including ASC 606, ASC 718, and ASC 842
- SOX and SEC reporting experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- High level of integrity and ethical standards
What the job involves
- The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all financial regulations
- This position will assist with the preparation of financial reports and maintain the integrity of financial data
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Coordinate the year-end audit process and work with external auditors to ensure timely completion
- Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, consolidations, and general ledger entries
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal control policies
- Oversee and perform monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
- Evaluate and implement improvements in accounting processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Evaluate and document accounting policies and procedures and recommend updates or improvements
