Role
Who you are
- We are seeking a driven and intellectually curious Senior Product Marketing Manager to play an integral role in the GTM strategy for one of the leading products in ecommerce search and product discovery
- At least 5 years of experience in product marketing, sales engineering, or customer success in B2B SaaS marketing technology, ideally in the eCommerce space
- Ability to back up strategic insights with market evidence. Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
- Deep understanding and appreciation of GTM teams and needs
- Proven experience collaborating and communicating with distributed cross-functional stakeholders and teams while understanding where there is a need or desired need versus a generic product marketing to do list
- Proven success creating and maintaining both internal and external communication programs around products and ICP
- Proven experience in successfully bringing new products to market and coordinating end-to-end launch execution
- Strong marketing fundamentals, thinking critically, strategically and out of the standard boxes of B2B
- Understanding of business KPIs such as developing pipeline for both new business and customer business
- Ownership and growth mentality; the person in this role should be self-motivated with a desire to be creative and ambitious in the role
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
What the job involves
- This role is part of our Product Marketing squad, a key part of our Brand & Content team that owns Constructor’s positioning and messaging, product launch process, and competitive intelligence program. The PMM will also contribute to our brand strategy and assist with creating world-class educational content for prospects and customers
- Reporting to the Director of Brand & Content, this role focuses on the pre and post sales phases of the customer journey, collaborating with sales, marketing, customer success and product leaders to establish credibility in the market, understand trends in our space, work closely with industry analysts, and to creatively meet our prospects and customers where they are on their journey
- You will work closely with our product leaders to launch new products, add-ons and features, with our content marketing team to create thought leadership, with growth marketing to drive pipeline and product content and with sales to ensure the GTM functions are enabled on key launches and competitors
- Any feature or product launch, with the product team, will include a bill of materials focused on value proposition, personas, objection handling, competition and more
- Market intelligence: Drive ongoing optimization of buyer personas, ICP, industry knowledge, and competitive intel. Contribute to core messaging and brand narratives that resonate with our target buyer personas
- Drive feature launch planning and execution in cooperation with product leadership and ensure internal and external launch readiness
- Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support Constructor products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes
- Work closely with analysts along with the CEO and Director of Brand & Content, as well as own G2 Reviews collaborating with Customer Success and Growth Marketing
- Create educational content in the form of blog outlines, tutorials, videos etc. in collaboration with growth marketing, sales, customer marketing and customer success
- Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support externally, including written works and potentially trade shows
- Collaborate with product management on roadmap and feature updates
- Collaborate with the content and growth marketing team on customer story and case study creation and angles etc to drive pipeline and adoption
- Partner closely with digital marketing on identifying demand gen related activities like keywords and market intent
- Partner with product and sales on the creation of demo flows and self-guided feature tours
- Product Marketing is a supporting function across the Constructor go-to-market and product teams. As such, many of the KPIs for this role are shared with the respective stakeholders
Our take
Online shopping has vastly increased the reach of stores and put a wealth of products at consumer’s fingertips. However, tedious searches are one cause for online carts to be abandoned before purchase. Constructor.io, founded in 2015, builds technology to counter the search element behind these unfinished purchases, with a powerful product discovery platform for eCommerce businesses.
eCommerce searching is generally poor, lagging behind the power of large search engines, in part due to low system intelligence. Constructor.io’s search employs AI, machine learning and natural language processing to return relevant results for search and browse functions, as well as for recommendations and autosuggest. A host of other novel search technologies have launched recently, but Constructor remains the leader in the space, with significant backing and high levels of growth.
Constructor.io already serves big-name customers including Sephora and Walmart’s Bonobos. It has raised impressive funding that it intends to use to expand operations and business reach.
