Role
Who you are
- Experience: 5+ years in growth, product management, or a related field
- Analytical Mind: You reason from first principles, love digging into data and user insights to solve problems (Bonus points for knowing some SQL)
- Thoughtful Communicator: You switch effortlessly between recording Looms, succinct and long-form writing to share updates and ideas. Writing is an important part of our culture
- Startup Experience**: You've been a founder, product or growth lead at a consumer startup with a track record of shipping initiatives with measurable outcomes
- High Agency: You notice gaps and make things better without being asked
- Ownership: You can scope and deliver great work with minimal hand-holding

What the job involves
- We're looking for our first full-time Growth Lead to grow our waitlist and lead the transition from closed beta to general availability early next year.
- Generating top-of-funnel demand to aggressively grow our waitlist
- Optimizing our waitlist engagement and activation funnel to maximize impact of our demand generation efforts
- Acquisition & Activation: Initial focus on demand generation and optimizing the user journey from initial awareness through to waitlist sign-up and activation
- Identify Growth Opportunities: Analyze data and user feedback to identify, prioritize, and size growth opportunities
- Planning: Own and prioritize the growth roadmap, aligning growth goals with our strategy and quarterly objectives
- Design Experiments: Scope, execute and measure experiments (no A/B testing) in close collaboration with product and engineering with razor focus on driving impact
- Scale Channels: Identify, develop and ultimately scale a sustainable mix of organic and paid channels
Application process
- You will have three interviews. They will be with Sally (Chief People Officer & Co-Founder), Roger (CEO & Co-Founder) and Karin (Chief Growth Officer).
- There will also be a take-home assignment to help us understand your strengths, expertise and thought leadership in a Growth domain.
Our take
Its a well-known failing of many schooling systems that they mainly teach kids to memorize information, rather than vital life skills such as how to communicate or think critically. Nurture wants to fix this, by supplying an app for children to learn life skills such as critical thinking, digital literacy, mindfulness and empathy.
The app targets 4-7 years olds, supplying learning materials in the form of immersive storytelling and interactive play. The idea behind this approach is to lay the foundations for children to later master important life skills, by turning passive screen time into an active learning opportunity.
While not the only life-skills app out there for kids, Nurture has been received well by parents and has seen promising interest from investors. This took form as a strong pre-seed funding round that will enable the company to bring on preschool content creators to help grow its offering by developing more content for the platform.
