What the job involves
- The Creator Store is the asset and tool marketplace for creators on Roblox
- Store creators can distribute and sell interactive, scripted 3D models, Roblox Studio plugins, and other assets
- Game creators use these to build better and faster
- From our insights into creation on Roblox, we are building out platform-wide systems to identify and predict bad content, helping to improve content moderation and consequence accuracy for creators
- As Principal Engineer for the Creator Store & Reputation team, you will help connect new and thriving game, asset, and tool creators to ultimately lead to better experiences on the platform
- You’ll be deeply involved and pivotal to building a quality, safe UGC (user-generated content) ecosystem
- You will be the technical lead for Store & Reputation engineering, including end-to-end architecture, implementation, and delivery of a platform that spans the web, cloud, and Roblox Studio/Engine
- We are looking for a principal level engineer or higher
- Leveling to principal or above will be based on experience and interview performance
- Architect the future of our systems - payments and earnings for asset and tool sales, platform-wide safety, IP protection systems, etc
- Care deeply about building a quality product that achieves company goals
- Prefer to ship incrementally, talk to creators, and make positive contributions you can be proud of every week, month and quarter
- Build highly automated systems that let our team scale to an ever-growing ecosystem size and variety
- Mentor and grow a team of 6 engineers, leading by example. There is opportunity for this role to pivot to the engineering management career track

In addition to standard games, the platform offers virtual worlds and other experiences to explore and interact with.
