Role
Who you are
- Weâre looking for a Head of People to join the team who will play a meaningful role in driving employee relations at Givematch. This individual will be someone who is hands-on with talent acquisition, people partnering, people operations and has a track record of overachieving in high-growth environments and has actively contributed to building high-performance companies
- 7+ years of relevant experience at a tech start-up or a rapidly scaling company, with experience providing strategic business partnering to Sr. leaders
- Experience with core People and Talent domains, including performance management, culture initiatives, organizational design, talent acquisition management, compensation, employee relations and compliance
- Champion our values and culture, being a role model for these and supporting the continual embedding of them in everything we do
- Experience fostering strong team culture and engagement in a remote environment
- Strong communication skills to translate your passion for Givematch into compelling interviews with potential hires about why they should work for our company
- Ability to create an excellent working environment: youâll be building processes, coming up with creative ideas, and approaching all initiatives with positivity & empathy

What the job involves
- Create effective relationships with Leads and their teams, acting as a trusted people advisor to identify and achieve shared objectives, coaching, advising, and supporting them with their people plans, talent needs and employee relations support
- You will partner closely with different teams to attract and retain top talent, building the team that unlocks our vision
- You will own our talent acquisition strategy + roadmap, identifying and prioritizing the most important talent initiatives and ensuring our team is staffed to meet the core needs of the business
- You will serve as a core partner to leaders on talent acquisition-related topics (e.g., hiring strategy, org design, scorecard design)
- Exceptional team leader and manager, with deep experience in effective hiring, onboarding, development and performance management; skilled coach able to develop both individual contributors and manager
- Work with Recruitment and business partners to prioritise, plan and forecast roles for future growth
- Help shape the global people team plan and priorities through the collation of global business trends, needs and anticipated future requirements
- Create and drive people strategy, along with metrics and OKRs, for your area of responsibility including performance management, talent identification and succession, org design, employee engagement & communications, training gaps, workforce planning
- Partner with leaders to develop our leadership capability and skills needed for our future success
- Analyze people metrics and risks adding further insight into the overall health of our teams and to share trends or determine opportunities for focus
- Provide advice and consultation on highly complex Employee Relations issues
