Role
Who you are
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in People Operations, HR, or similar roles, ideally in a scaling or global organization
- Deep understanding of HR processes across the full employee lifecycle, with hands-on experience running operational HR and payroll
- Proficiency with HR tools and systems, particularly HRIS platforms (HiBob a strong plus)
- Experience managing payroll in partnership with external providers — ideally in multiple countries
- Strong attention to detail, a love of systems and structure, and a commitment to operational excellence
- Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with employees at all levels of the organization
- Business fluency in both German and English is essential (written and spoken)
- A collaborative mindset and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment where you’ll help build as you go
What the job involves
- In this role, you will be a key driver of our People Operations function, owning core HR processes and enabling smooth, scalable people practices across our growing global team
- As a mid-to-senior team member, you’ll bring both operational excellence and strategic insight, helping us shape a first-class employee experience and a strong, inclusive culture
- Take full ownership of the employee lifecycle — from onboarding and offboarding to internal transfers and contract/status changes — ensuring a smooth and engaging employee experience including our warehouse
- Maintain and continuously improve our HRIS (HiBob), ensuring data accuracy and consistency across employee records
- Manage our HR support channel (Asana), offering timely, clear, and empathetic guidance to employees on policies, processes, and general inquiries
- Oversee and execute global payroll cycles in collaboration with external payroll providers, ensuring compliance and precision
- Audit time-tracking data, payroll inputs, and employee documentation to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and legal compliance
- Act as a key contributor to People initiatives that support our mission, culture, and business goals
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead improvements in documentation, workflows, and tools to support scale and efficiency
- Partner cross-functionally with teams like Finance, Legal, and IT to ensure seamless operations and integrated processes

The eCommerce sector has seen rapid growth in recent years, with Amazon continuing to be a dominant force in the market. SellerX was founded to capitalize on this trend by acquiring and building online retailers that trade on Amazon. The company targets high-profile sellers with the goal of creating in-demand consumer brands, ultimately amassing a diverse portfolio.
In late 2021, with the acquisition of KW-Commerce and a $500M investment, SellerX expanded its reach within the consumer goods sector. The company's long-term vision is to revolutionize the industry by developing a powerful brand portfolio, leveraging the growing demand for eCommerce-driven consumer products.
However, this year has been challenging for SellerX. A slowdown in growth and rising debt pressures led to significant financial restructuring, with BlackRock set to become the largest shareholder as part of a deal to reduce the company's debt. Despite these hurdles, the deal offers a fresh start, providing SellerX with improved liquidity and new backing to stabilize its position and continue reshaping the eCommerce space.
