Role
Who you are
- Previous experience in AI is not required - we are looking for a passionate, driven engineer who cares about developer experience
- 3+ years of experience focused on full-stack web development
- Strong background in modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js, Typescript)
- Experience with back-end development (NodeJS, Rust, Python, or Go)
- Experience designing, building and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Previous experience working on developer facing applications and tools
- Extreme passion for AI and Developer Experience, deep understanding of why DevEx is so important in the world of AI
What the job involves
- The Pinecone Knowledge Team is hiring an experienced Software Engineer to be the lead on Pinecone Assistant Interaction
- Assistant Playground Application - the gateway for developers and engineers to start building AI applications with Pinecone Assistant
- API design - help shape the future interaction APIs for knowledge retrieval, chat interface and agentic workflows
- SDK development - for the Assistant SDK and Evaluation toolkit
- Developer tooling - to help engineers better integrate Assistant into their AI applications
