- CPA preferred
- Public accounting preferred
- 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience
- 2+ years of SEC reporting experience
What the job involves
- This position will be responsible for the monthly close activities as well as the preparation and filing of all external financial reporting documents and related SEC filings and accounting for all equity-based transactions
- This role will report to the Director of Accounting
- Take ownership of the general accounting role, including, but not limited to: general journal entry preparation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and maintenance of the general ledger’s chart of accounts
- Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and review, budget and variance analysis
- Participate in the coordination and preparation of quarterly report filings (Form 10-Qs), annual reports (Form 10- K) and current reports (Form 8-K)
- Manage record keeping and reporting of all equity-based transactions
- Regularly collaborate with both internal (team members across the organization) and external parties (outside counsel, external auditors, tax and other professional service providers) towards:
- The collection of input information including the preparation of support files and documentation required for the above referenced reports
- The coordination and review of report draft versions
- Determine appropriate required disclosures (including the completion of relevant disclosure checklists and reporting questionnaires). Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting guidelines being issued by the SEC, FASB (US GAAP), PCAOB, and other applicable regulatory agencies
- Assist with the introduction, documentation, and implementation of accounting and finance policies
- Participate in the implementation of internal controls and SOX compliance guidelines
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested

The excitement of the fully automatic Tesla may have meant other AVs were overshadowed. It’s often not realised how many vehicles, from forklifts to stock chasers, are now operable in certain capacities without direct driver control.
