Role
Who you are
- 4+ years in enterprise account management, sales, or business development, ideally in health tech, senior living, or care delivery
- Proven success navigating multi-stakeholder, value-based commercial motions with VP/C-suite stakeholders
- Demonstrated track record of securing renewals and/or expansions across multi-site portfolios
- Executive-level communication skills with the ability to frame financial, operational, and clinical impact
- Strong product curiosity and ability to credibly translate capabilities into outcomes
- Self-starter with high ownership and the ability to orchestrate complex cross-functional workstreams
Desirable
- Deep familiarity with the senior living ecosystem (operators, REITs, private equity), including budget cycles, asset management, and regional structures
- Consistent quota attainment across multiple quarters in prior roles
- Experience developing repeatable expansion playbooks or pilot-to-portfolio frameworks
- Comfort working with sensitive information and aligning to healthcare information-security standards
- Experience working in a software + hardware environment, especially where operational or workflow change management was required
What the job involves
- Sage operates in a “land-and-expand” motion with senior-living operators
- After Sales lands a pilot, you’ll turn early wins into portfolio-wide rollouts, measurable value realization, and durable executive partnerships
- You’ll execute upon and further refine the expansions playbook, strengthen client relationships, and translate the value that the Product and Client Success teams have delivered into long-term, multi-community growth
- Our company mission is to enable modern aging, and this role will help us grow with like-minded organizations to realize that mission
- Quarterback portfolio expansion. Build and execute expansion strategies that move partners from pilot(s) to multi-community deployments across their portfolio, including new products and add-ons
- Forecast and hit targets. Maintain a rigorous view of expansion pipeline; deliver against quarterly revenue and retention goals
- Be the executive point of contact. Cultivate C-suite and regional champions at operators, REITs, and PE-owned platforms; lead regular business reviews, align on goals, and remove blockers
- Quantify ROI and operational impact (e.g., workflow efficiency, risk reduction, care outcomes); package insights into crisp, fact-based narratives that drive buy-in and budget approval
- Orchestrate cross-functional expansion sprints. Translate operator goals into a clear plan, and coordinate with Implementation/Client Success/Product/Engineering/Marketing to achieve said goals
- Escalate and de-risk. Serve as an executive escalation path internally and externally; anticipate issues and orchestrate fast, durable resolutions
- Represent Sage in the market. Join partner executive meetings and relevant industry events to deepen relationships and unlock new avenues of growth
Our take
In the event of an accident or fall, elder care facilities largely rely on outdated nurse call systems, which can mean residents wait longer than necessary to receive care or attention. Sage solves this problem by providing carers and institutions with a modern operating system.
Sage's caregiver app allows carers to identify patients in need of help, as well as providing tools for triage and the reviewing of care information. As one of the first companies to bring a data-driven approach to elder care in this way, Sage has received strong attention and raised an impressive $35 million in funding in 2024.
The age-tech market is growing steadily, and becoming more competitive, which means Sage will need to invest heavily in scaling its outreach in order to consolidate its progress. That said, it has established an early foothold which gives it a place to work from as it develops into the future.
