Who you are
- Significant relevant experience in accounts payable within a global and complex organization. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Senior level of management and leadership experience within a diverse, global and distributed workforce
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices and internal control frameworks
- Experience with expense/payables software and ERP systems. Knowledge of NetSuite, Certify and/or Zip an asset

What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced Manager, Global Accounts Payable to oversee the Accounts Payable function
- In this role, you will be responsible for leading a global team of accounts payable specialists and overseeing the accounts payable function to ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely and accounts payable transactions are properly accounted for
- Oversee the Global Accounts Payable team and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments and expense reports
- Monitor and analyze accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
- Manage direct reports, including hiring, coaching, mentoring, development, performance management and all other people-management practices
- Oversee the preparation and filing of appropriate end-of-year tax forms for independent contractors, e.g. 1099, T4A
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Procurement, to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes
- Ensure the effectiveness of accounts payable processes and controls including providing recommendations for improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain and optimize key accounts payable metrics
- Maintain internal control processes and documentation for the accounts payable portion of the Procure to Pay process
- Collaborate on audits and provide documentation and support as needed

Just like its acquisition of Sparkcentral saw the company expand into customer service, its more recent purchase of Talkwalker sees it integrate AI into its platform. The combined offering will supply businesses with a social media performance engine to turn insights into action, all fuelled by artificial intelligence.
