Who you are

The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable at a design desk, behind a camera, or writing copy that resonates
2-5+ years of experience in a graphics design position (bonus points for added experience in content or social content role)
Proven graphic design experience (portfolio of graphic design, photo, and video work required)
Proficiency in basic graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator), video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or equivalent), and other creative tools
Strong copywriting skills with the ability to shift tone from technical to accessible
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
A passion for science, technology, and storytelling. Experience in energy, engineering, or complex technology sectors is a plus
Must be willing to work extended hours or weekends as needed to accomplish the mission
Must work 100% onsite at Radiant’s El Segundo HQ

What the job involves

Radiant is seeking a Graphic Designer who is a true jack-of-all-trades visual storyteller
This individual will be responsible for producing compelling creative for all aspects of design projects from concept to completion
These projects may include but are not limited to digital assets, brochures, photos, presentation decks, advertisements, and videos – bringing our groundbreaking work to life for audiences ranging from policymakers to the general public
Create compelling graphics, infographics, layouts, designs, print, and digital media
Draft engaging captions, headlines, and narratives tailored to each channel and audience
Conceptualize, shoot, and edit photo and multimedia content for social platforms (LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)
Capture the unique culture of Radiant through both polished designs and guerrilla-style content (e.g., behind-the-scenes videos from engineers, rapid-response posts during key milestones)
Track performance and stay current with creative best practices

Our take

To support the clean energy revolution, Radiant Nuclear is developing a portable, containerised nuclear microreactor. Once launched, it will have the potential to provide power to remote parts of the world or act as a backup supply to vital infrastructure such as hospitals and data centres.

Typically, these backup systems are powered by diesel generators - making them extremely bad for the environment. Radiant's microreactors could allow the replacement of these generators whilst supplying the same critical asset support, enabling a substantial reduction in carbon footprint.

Having completed the design phase of the project, Radiant has taken a step closer towards realising its portable microreactor (known as Kaleidos). On the back of impressive Series D funding, the company intends to test a prototype as early as mid-2026 and has secured considerable funding to support its work towards that goal.
