Who you are
- No security experience is required, just a passion for our mission to secure the internet and protect consumer data!
- Have at least 5 years of full time work experience as a software engineer, including 2 years working as a frontend engineer
- Have played technical leadership roles for teams or complex projects in the past
- Have a proven track record of building 0 to 1 products and features
- Have previous startup experience, or worked in an environment that prioritizes a bias for action
- Have prior work experience with TypeScript, React and Node.js
- Have an interest in learning about security or prior experience in the space
What the job involves
- Our Frontend Engineers own and drive high-impact, user-facing projects at a hypergrowth company that has found product-market fit and is scaling quickly
- We integrate deeply with our customers’ SaaS providers, infrastructure, and employee laptops to analyze the relationships with that data and surface potential security threats in real time
- As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll work closely with Product and Design to surface these complex relationships and threats elegantly
- At Vanta, you’ll leverage your expertise of best-in-class web technologies and tools, improving our frontend web architecture and sharing these best practices with the team
- Today, joining Vanta as an engineer means seeing all parts of the business, growing and developing our team, shaping Vanta's culture from the earliest stages, and building core parts of our product and infrastructure that enable us to continue to grow and scale
- Deeply understand our customers and our market to build solutions addressing key pain points and opportunities for competitive advantage
- Work closely with cross functional partners to discover, build, and iterate on scalable products that solve our customers’ needs
- Design, develop, and own new product functionality leveraging modern frameworks and tooling (TypeScript, React, Node.js)
- Drive fundamental decisions for the future of our frontend web architecture
- Spread your knowledge of best practices in modern frontend web development: design patterns, tools, and frameworks
- Play a part in defining Vanta's engineering culture as we grow

Yet, the benefits of security accreditation are enormous, mainly as many such businesses are working globally and need ways to demonstrate security compliance to one another. Vanta works specifically with startups to help them complete and pass security audits such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
The company is a compliance portal and security monitoring platform that businesses use to assess their risk levels. Vanta carries out a pre-audit of a company's digital security and highlights areas that need to be worked on before a full analysis of all threats is carried out. Other businesses such as Datadog or PagerDuty offer similar security monitoring services, but Vanta monitors its customers throughout the year, allowing any issues to be identified and addressed early on.
