Role
Who you are
- You’re a strategic thinker & problem solver, with a strong product sense, a technical edge, and a bias for action. You are generalist, from A to Z (design, product marketing, tech, client-facing, etc.), know how to navigate complexity, align stakeholders, and deliver value to users
- Languages: You’re fluent in French and English, both spoken and written
- Experience: You have 5+ years of hands-on Product Management experience, ideally in an international B2B SaaS company. You've owned significant product scopes and delivered in fast-paced, high-expectation environments
- Technical & analytical skills: You have a technical or analytical background that makes you comfortable with figures and data analysis. You’re comfortable discussing APIs, integration with partners/third-parties, or technical trade-offs with engineers
- Business acumen: You understand the business impact of product decisions and think in terms of customer value, ROI, and scalability. You have a clear sense of prioritization and are able to drive focus in a sea of competing demands
- Communication & influence: You’re clear, structured, and straight-forward in your communication. You love to collect insights from everyone and know how to align stakeholders
- Execution in ambiguity: You thrive in complexity and don’t wait for perfect clarity. You break down problems into small pieces, set direction, and bring cross-functional teams along with you
What the job involves
- As a Senior Product Manager, your mission is to maximize the impact of your squad by building products that deliver real value to our customers & prospects. You own the product lifecycle end-to-end, from identifying the right problems, running the discovery phase and delivering the value to our clients (including the go-to-market)
- Own and drive the squad’s roadmap in line with company OKRs, market shifts, and user pain points
- Translate market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive dynamics into product bets
- Collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to align vision, priorities, and execution
- Lead discovery with a bias toward action (structured interviews with clients, market & behavior analysis, POCs)
- Partner with Sales, CS, and Ops to deeply understand user pain and business constraints
- Validate and de-risk product opportunities before prioritizing the roadmap and committing engineering resources
- Test AI features on a daily basis to learn how it would change your job and squad scope tomorrow
- Product delivery & go-to-market
- Define the specs and the UX/UI for both API & the web app
- Work hand-in-hand with engineers to ship high-quality features quickly and iteratively
- Drive delivery by managing the backlog, refining specs, and facilitating agile rituals
- Proactively remove blockers and continuously improve team workflows and rituals
- Design the go-to-market strategy and push for the adoption of new releases
- Track adoption and impact of features shipped, and iterate based on feedback and data
Our take
During the pandemic, investment in logistics ramped up due to the need to switch to remote tracking, as well as create solutions to counteract new limits to movement. However, since then the sector has seen many of its issues overlooked, despite an urgent need to address things like infrastructure congestion and extended transit times.
Wakeo hopes to answer these issues, by bringing real-time visibility to intercontinental freight transport flows across shipping, air, and road. Its platform combines IoT and alogirthmic technology to give export and import teams intelligent ETAs that factor in the shifting sands of supply chain disruptions. Using this data, Wakeo’s customers have the power to optimise transport plans, reduce emergency costs and enhance the management of their inventories.
With international shipping as unpredictable as ever, it’s no surprise that Wakeo enjoyed $19.6 million in funding in December 2023. This funding is being put towards the company’s expansion, as well as consolidating its path to sustainability, as goods transportation makes up 17% of global emissions.
