Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in a similar analytics or data engineer, data science, analyst or business intelligence role
- Previous mentoring or line management experience
- A passion for clean, efficient and meaningful SQL queries
- Previous experience using modern BI tools (we use Looker + LookML)
- Preferably some experience working with Python (pandas/ polars) in a data context
- Deeply outcome-focussed and analytical mind, great attention to detail
- A high-energy and bold communicator who enjoys collaborating across teams from different functions

- We are looking for an ambitious, communicative and versatile Senior Analytics Engineer to drive business outcomes through smart and impactful use of data

- That’s why we empower our growing team of engineers by embedding them in product-centered, cross-functional squads for meaningful business context and encourage taking the initiative for impactful projects from day one
- We hone our craft and grow our skills as data professionals through functional reporting lines and regular catch-ups and knowledge sharing sessions across the Data organisation
- Your day-to-day activities will range from ideating novel solutions to business problems to developing and maintaining meaningful metrics and data models in a sustainable fashion
- Along the way you will talk to data producers for data context and roll out your solutions to business users to deliver maximum impact
- Wherever you see an opportunity, you will contribute to developing and growing our analytics platform through developing the right tooling, setting standards and defining best practices
- Over time you will also support with line management, mentoring and supporting the growth of fellow team members in your area of expertise
- Take initiative and translate business context and problem statements into impactful data solutions
- Develop meaningful data pipelines and establish data modelling best practices
- Create powerful data products and dashboards that drive business outcomes
- Collaborate with business users, excite them with your solutions and advance data adoption and literacy in the organisation
- Over time: line management and mentoring of fellow Analytics Engineers (one or two, not many reports)
- Collaborate with fellow Data team members to grow and improve the analytics platform

Parcel delivery currently relies on fossil-fuel powered vans for the most part — and they pollute the air we breathe, emit large amounts of CO₂ and congest our cities. At the same time, customer service is notoriously poor, unethical business practices are rampant, and the technology is outdated. HIVED offers an alternative: 100% electric delivery, cutting emissions by up to 76%.
The company's technology is so efficient, it can match – or sometimes even be cheaper – than the current high-emission carriers. HIVED has fundamentally set itself apart from larger competitors by cutting their emissions by 76%, which will be a significant advantage as the UK is witnessing a green economic boom in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The industry's expansion grew to $141.05 bn globally in 2025, which will undoubtedly be underpinned by a push towards sustainability. HIVED is well-positioned to capitalise on this, particularly if it can maintain its current high standards off the back of its impressive 2025 Series B investment round.
