Who you are
- 3+ years of professional application development experience

What the job involves
- We are a small, established software team building frontend applications for use at Gecko Robotics’ many client sites
- From day one, you will be building novel user interfaces, tailoring 2D and 3D data visualizations, and collaborating closely with our customer-specific deployments to drive real change in government and industry
- You will work with other software teams to integrate new data layers into Gecko’s Cantilever™ software platform, driving digitization at factories, power plants, and navy bases
- You will innovate with new technologies and datasets as we build the next generation of site, fleet, and asset management tools
- Cantilever™ applications are built in Typescript+React, using ThreeJS for client-side rendering and a blend of Unreal and other technologies for server-side rendering. Data processing services are written in Python. We are tech-agnostic in our interview process, so we encourage you to apply regardless of your background
Our take
The critical services of energy, government, and other essential sectors depend on reliable infrastructure, and this is ensured through regular inspections. However, collecting the physical data required for infrastructural inspection is impossible without a variety of specialized equipment, and analyzing the produced data is a highly time-consuming process.
Gecko Robotics provides physical data handling for critical infrastructure inspections, leveraging robot-enabled ultrasonics and cloud-based data processing to serve power, oil and gas, pulp and paper, chemical, and government sectors. The company achieves this by pairing human NDT II/III inspectors with data capturing robots, facilitating the deployment of various advanced inspection techniques to meet any regulatory standards.
Whilst robotics inspection is nothing new, Gecko stands out with its Toka series, flexible wall-climbing robots designed to gather far more data, far faster than traditional methods.
Recently the company deepened its partnership with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), signing multi-year agreements to deploy robotics and AI-powered analytics across ADNOC's operations and collaborate on local training programs. Following a $125M funding round, Gecko is also preparing to begin manufacturing robots in the UAE, reflecting both its international growth and its ambition to embed robotics and AI at the core of modern energy infrastructure.
