Experience - 7+ years of experience as an Android engineer
Detail-oriented Attention to detail, animations and transitions
Patterns Understanding of the native platform UI/UX patterns
Technology Expert knowledge of Kotlin, Java, Coroutines, multi-module projects, DI
Libraries - Familiarity with Koin, Retrofit, OKHttp, ViewBinding, Firebase, Gradle
Automation - Experience with Google Play Store releases automation, eg.: Fastlane
Navigation Deep Linking, reusable screens and navigation
Communication Excellent communication skills

Desirable

Javascript - Understanding of JavaScript / Typescript and NodeJS
Python - Scripting and creating simple tools
CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Fastlane
MacOS - Deep understanding of macOS architecture

What the job involves

Given our exciting and progressive growth plans, we are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to come join our global business
Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering and working collaboratively with Principal and Staff Engineers, you will be accountable for development of the greenfield Android marketplace app. We are migrating our previous hybrid stack into native to incorporate the best look, feel and usability

Development of the best in class marketplace app
Tailor best class UI/UX along with animations, transitions, responsiveness and quality
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Contribute to a healthy engineering culture of feedback and growth
Migrate existing CapacitorJS application to fully native app
Develop unit and UI tests to ensure the best quality of the product

Application process

Screen call - with a member from the Talent Team - 30-60 minutes
1st stage - Technical: Video call/in-person interview with the Hiring Manager + an iOS Engineer - Up to 2.5 hours
Final stage - Meet with our CTO - Up to 30 minutes
We aim to complete the entire interview process and deliver feedback within 4 weeks

Fresha allows consumers to discover, book and pay for beauty and wellness appointments with local businesses via its centralised marketplace, while beauty and wellness businesses and professionals use its all-in-one platform to manage their entire operations through a range of intuitive software and fintech solutions.

The company has taken a different approach compared to rivals in the salon management space. Rather than charging monthly, its software is free to use, and charges when a booking is made through the system. Fresha's platform also offers a range of financial products such as point-of-sale, customer records management and marketing automation, making it an appealing option for salon operators.
