Who you are

Proficiency in Go
Experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA)
Experience with database schema design and raw SQL (ideally Postgres)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes
Experience building metrics, alerting, and request tracing systems

Desirable

Familiarity with identity and access management protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC, WebAuthn)
Familiarity with general corporate IT/Security landscape (e.g. MDM, Endpoint Security, etc.)
Experience with audit logging
Experience with compliance requirements (e.g. SOC 2, ISO 27001), CCPA, GDPR
Familiarity with Certificate Authorities / PKI

What the job involves

Build an incredible product from the ground up, working at the earliest stage of a startup as a member of an experienced team
Translate product and design requirements into detailed engineering architecture and design documents
Build scalable, secure backend services that can handle enterprise-scale workloads
Design and work with distributed and high-availability systems
Maintain our "secure by design" product principle by implementing security best practices up and down the stack (web, backend, infra)
Design both web and service-to-service APIs, model database schemas, and create robust system integration patterns
Collaborate heavily across product, design, and engineering throughout the product development process
Work effectively in a fully remote environment with a mix of Zoom and asynchronous collaboration
Continuously learn new technologies and take on diverse challenges with a "life-long learner" mindset
Participate in the interview process for engineering candidates, helping us maintain our high standards
