Role
Who you are
- If you’re energized by complex product surfaces, love turning infrastructure into clear customer value, and want to work on a product area with real revenue impact, this role is for you

- You are proficient in English (spoken, written, and reading) at a CEFR Level C1 / ILR Level 5
- 5+ years of product marketing experience, preferably within a high-growth, software company environment, with a strong emphasis on messaging, positioning, and copywriting
- A commitment to excellence and craft. We sweat the small details. We obsess over copy, clarity, and consistency. We hold a high bar for how our product and brand show up in the world, and we expect you to do the same
- Exceptional written communication skills. You are an excellent writer and editor. In a fully remote, async company, writing is one of your most important tools
- Proven ability to create high-impact messaging that resonates with diverse audiences and drives real outcomes, from product adoption to revenue growth
- Strong storytelling and simplification skills. You’re able to take complex product surfaces and translate them into clear, compelling narratives that customers immediately understand and value
- Experience crafting positioning frameworks and leading go-to-market strategies for new product launches, working cross-functionally from strategy through execution
- A deep understanding of customer personas and pain points, and a demonstrated ability to address them through thoughtful, customer-first messaging
- A strong sense of ownership. You take responsibility end-to-end, from defining the problem to shipping the solution and measuring impact. You don’t wait to be told what to do, and you care deeply about the outcomes of your work
- A track record of effective cross-functional collaboration with Product, Growth, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver successful launches and campaigns
- A strong work ethic and comfort with high expectations. We’re a fast-growing, venture-backed company with ambitious plans. This role is high-impact and high-accountability, and it’s best suited for someone who thrives in that environment

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Payments to own and drive product marketing for one of Circle’s most exciting, fastest-growing, and highest-impact product areas
- Circle customers already generate over $300M in annual GMV, and that number is accelerating rapidly. Payments is a critical surface area that directly impacts customer success, revenue growth, and the long-term scalability of community-powered businesses
- In this role, you’ll partner closely with our Head of Growth and Payments, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to bring new payments features, improvements, and monetization capabilities to market. You’ll report directly to the Head of Product Marketing and play a key role in shaping how Circle’s payments story is told internally and externally
- Own messaging and positioning for Circle’s Payments surface area
- Develop and evolve clear, differentiated messaging that explains how Circle enables customers to monetize, scale, and run sustainable businesses through payments
- Craft high-impact copy and product content
- Write, edit, and oversee the creation of payments-related product content across the website, emails, launch assets, sales decks, and product collateral. Your focus will be on translating complex payments functionality into clear, compelling customer value
- Guide go-to-market strategy for payments features and improvements
- Partner with Product, Growth, and Engineering to plan and execute launches for new payments capabilities, optimizations, and experiments. Ensure launches are well-coordinated, adoption-focused, and measurable
- Enable the go-to-market team
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Success to create sales enablement materials such as pitch decks, FAQs, battlecards, and internal training that help teams confidently sell and support Circle’s payments capabilities
- Develop customer-facing enablement and education
- Create external resources including product guides, FAQs, help content, and onboarding materials that help customers understand and fully leverage payments features to grow their businesses
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive insight-led messaging
- Partner with Product, Growth, Customer Success, and Data teams to gather customer insights, feedback, and performance data. Use these insights to continuously refine messaging, positioning, and launch strategies
- Support Circle’s broader product marketing strategy
- Contribute to Circle’s overall messaging and positioning framework by ensuring payments narratives are consistent, differentiated, and aligned with our broader product vision and brand
Our take
The influencer market is nearly twice the size it was globally back in 2019. With more creators flocking to the digital space to grow and engage with their followers, cracks in the existing platforms’ relationship to their content creators are showing. Circle is one of a number of content creator platforms rising up to meet the demand for change.
Its community platform allows users to create and engage with their own groups, for a small subscription fee established by the creators. This direct ownership and community engagement is proving something of a silver bullet for companies looking to tempt creators off of incumbent giants like TikTok and Youtube. Companies like Substack, Patreon, and Pico have all seen remarkable success with this strategy, suggesting that Circle’s foray into establishing something similar for a creator hub is playing to an eager market.
The company's ultimate aim is to pull together all creator tools like newsletter publishing, merch sales, and podcasting under a single Circle umbrella. This is ambitious - but Circle is growing alongside the creator economy at an impressive pace. If it can maintain this growth, it will be poised well for future success.
