What the job involves
- Together with our diverse R&D team, you’ll help build the technology behind urgent deliveries that truly matter
- We assist hospitals in delivering life-saving transplants on time. We help airlines keep planes flying and factories producing by quickly getting critical parts where they’re needed. If it’s urgent, we’re on it and you’ll help build the tools that make it happen
- In our team, you’ll have the freedom to find the right solutions and processes
- Your work will directly impact the daily lives of our users and customers. Beyond shaping the product, you’ll also contribute to building and nurturing a great engineering culture
- Work closely with our product team to build smart solutions that optimize logistic processes
- Understand the bigger picture to build the right features for time-critical logistics
- Design, build and maintain efficient, clean and scalable code
- Ensure quality through test automation and peer reviews
- Collaborate with a diverse team of smart, friendly engineers
- Grow your software craftsmanship as well as soft skills in a fast paced environment
- Exciting and complex problems in time-critical logistics
- A Ruby on Rails monolith with a React (MobX) UI used by global teams
- Microservices (Go and Ruby) to assure that our architecture is scalable
- Smaller features and bug fixes as well as large-scale projects
- Writing tests and improving our CI/CD pipelines
Application process
- Introductory Meeting with the Director of Engineering: This is a chance to learn more about the role, Airspace, and how we work. You will also have the opportunity to introduce yourself and share what excites you about joining our team
- Live Coding Exercise: Collaborate with one of our senior engineers on a live coding challenge in either Ruby or React. We are not just looking at your technical skills, but also how you approach problem-solving and communication. Please note: To ensure a fair and authentic assessment, we ask that you do not use any AI tools or LLMs during the challenge
- Team Meet & Greet: Get to know each member of our international R&D team. This is your time to ask questions, get a sense of our team dynamic and see what it’s like to be part of our culture

The consumer market today expects high reliability, quick arrivals and tracking, and many delivery and logistics services haven’t always met these high standards. Airspace aims to mend this by replacing out-dated paperwork processes with a trusted delivery network that brings shipping and logistics into the twenty-first century.
Airspace’s combination of human experience and artificial intelligence allows it stand out amongst competitors. Predictive machine learning technology results in packages being delivered with more precision whilst being resilient to potential hiccups along the way, which has enabled the company to have an Amazon-like system for critical shipments for healthcare, manufacturing and aerospace markets.
Since its conception, Airspace has repeatedly seen major new funding, which has enabled tremendous growth, including international expansion. New capital will not only go towards accelerating its move into the European and Asian markets, but will allow the core business to be built out whilst launching new service lines.
