- You’re currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Communication and Multimedia Design or a related field
- Some experience in front-end development, preferably in React.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- A genuine interest in front-end development and building great user experiences
- You enjoy solving problems and learning new technologies
- Comfortable working in a collaborative and international environment
- Based in or near Amsterdam, and excited to work from our city-center office
- Available as an intern from February ‘26, for 32-40 hours a week for at least 5 months
- You have a portfolio / website where you can showcase some of your side projects and/or school projects
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
What the job involves
- We’re continuously on the lookout for creative and talented people to strengthen our team. Right now, we’re looking for a Front-End Intern to join our Engineering team!
- Contribute to the development of new features and improvements across TicketSwap’s web platform and user interface
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to bring ideas to life
- Work with modern web technologies such as Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Jest, Playwright, CSS modules, Contentful, Storybook and GIT
- Learn to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with guidance from our experienced engineers
- Help test and debug user-facing features to ensure a smooth and reliable experience for millions of fans
- Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and team meetings to understand how a professional engineering team operates
- Contribute ideas for improving usability, accessibility, and performance
- Explore opportunities to automate and optimize front-end workflows
- Keep an eye on the latest front-end trends and best practices and share what you learn with the team

- By the end of your internship, you’ll have real-world experience with React, TypeScript, and modern web development practices, plus insight into how a global marketplace operates at scale. You’ll ship code, contribute to projects used by millions of fans, and learn from a talented team of engineers passionate about creating great digital experiences
Our take
Obtaining tickets for in-demand events can be extremely difficult, as can selling on unusable tickets. TicketSwap solves this problem by providing a platform where users can buy and sell pre-sold tickets, without the usually associated risk and high prices.
With fraud detection built in, TicketSwap’s platform allows for greater security against bad sellers. It also maintains a fixed price cap of 120% of the original price to protect against exploitative profiteering. These features, alongside the ease of use of the marketplace, have proved wildly popular, and the platform now serves millions of users around the world.
The company has expanded rather a lot since its inception, sweeping across European markets as well as entering Latin America and the UK. It has cemented a series of lucrative deals with festivals, venues, and promoters, which is testament to the company’s growing ubiquity, and continues to roll out new features such as in-app ticket storage and "FairShare", that divides any profit on a sold ticket fairly between the seller of the ticket and the event organizer.
