What the job involves
- As a Staff Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical landscape of our engineering organization
- Lead high-impact, cross-cutting engineering initiatives, setting direction in early-stage or ambiguous projects and helping teams move fast with confidence
- Shape hx’s technical future by contributing to the Engineering Vision, raising the bar on quality, sustainability, and long-term resilience.
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Principal Engineers, and Product Managers to align on strategy and empower teams delivering secure, scalable, high-performing software.
- Provide architectural leadership across domains, ensuring systems are designed for scale, reliability, and future evolution.
- Champion and scale engineering practices, embedding wins into org-wide standards that improve velocity, developer experience, and product reliability.
- Act as a trusted voice in critical moments: resolving incidents, unblocking teams, and keeping high-stakes initiatives on track.
