Who you are
- The Specialist requires a strong understanding of the financial technology landscape, exceptional research skills, and the ability to articulate Symphony's value proposition to executive and technical buyers
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. 2+ years of professional experience in Business Development (BDR/SDR), Lead Generation, or Inside Sales, preferably within the Fintech, Enterprise SaaS, or B2B Technology sector
- Strong foundational knowledge of the financial services industry, common business structures, and B2B sales cycles. Familiarity with technical communication or collaboration tools is a plus
- Proven proficiency in utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools for tracking activity, managing pipelines, and reporting metrics
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to engage executive-level contacts persuasively. Highly motivated, resilient, and goal-oriented, with a clear focus on achieving monthly and quarterly targets
- Preferred - Fluency in French
What the job involves
- The Business Development Specialist / Manager is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and initiating relationships with prospective clients and strategic partners to generate new revenue opportunities for Symphony
- This role is focused on the top-of-the-funnel growth, driving market expansion, and scheduling exploratory meetings for the Sales organization
- Proactively research, identify, and target new enterprise accounts and market segments that align with Symphony’s ideal customer profile within the financial services and technology sectors
- Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns (email, phone, social) to engage decision-makers and key stakeholders. Successfully qualify prospects based on defined budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT) criteria
- Schedule high-quality initial meetings and product demonstrations for the Account Executive (Sales) team, ensuring seamless and effective transition of qualified opportunities
- Gather competitive intelligence, market feedback, and industry information during outreach efforts, sharing insights with the Sales and Product Marketing teams to refine messaging and targeting

As more companies and individuals turn to digital financing, this product is timely. And, by making the focus of its software its security features, the company hopes to appeal to other markets that require highly secure communication options, such as legal and medical.
