Company mission
To make payments and money management effortless for every business in Europe.
Role
Who you are
- Experience leading a cross-functional product team in an everyday, hands-on capacity
- Comfort with the full product lifecycle, including early-stage building and scaling
- Ability to operate in a high-ambition, high-resource environment alongside experienced and passionate product leaders from across the industry
What the job involves
- As Senior Product Manager, you'll own a significant part of our Business Banking product, one of the newest and most ambitious areas we're building at Mollie
- This is a build from scratch opportunity. Mollie's position here is rare: we're a payment service provider with a large, established customer base that is now building a full banking proposition on top of it. That means you get the ambition and pace of building something new, combined with the resources, customers, and best practices of a scaled business. You'll work alongside experienced, passionate product leaders who've done this before
- You'll lead a cross-functional team across design, product, and data analytics. There are no direct reports in this role, but you'll own the team's day to day performance and make sure things ship on time
- Net-new propositions, not incremental iteration. You're building experiences that don't exist yet
- Customer-facing product and APIs across the Mollie app (web and native mobile) for business banking customers
- A banking proposition layered on Mollie's existing payments infrastructure, reaching customers who are already active and engaged
- In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build a meaningful distribution channel from the ground up. As we expand across Europe, you will grow alongside the product area you own
Our take
Mollie, an Amsterdam-based startup, enables businesses to integrate payment methods into websites or apps via an API, improving upon the difficult options offered by traditional banks. Focused on the SMB market, Mollie serves over 120,000 businesses, including Deliveroo, Unicef, and Acer.
2021 funding supported international expansion and the launch of Mollie Capital in the UK, providing SME merchants with quick and flexible funding up to £250,000. This service has already provided over €50 million in loans to more than 5,000 SMEs in Europe.
In 2023, Mollie reported a 36% increase in net revenue to €99 million, driven by larger customers and new products. Operational costs fell by 30% due to AI-driven efficiencies and the launch of MollieGPT for customer support. With continued international expansion and innovative products, Mollie aims to simplify financial processes for businesses of all sizes.
