Over the last decade, the number of Israeli-founded cybersecurity companies has quadrupled – marking the country out as a would-be global leader in the industry. Pentera is one such company, supplying Enterprise Security Validation to the likes of Deloitte, IDB Bank and NEC, as well as to government projects.
The company's approach is to emulate real cyber attacks across various environments, to find exploits that may be open to cyber criminals. This enables defenses to be validated and security risks to be mediated, providing measurable improvements in cybersecurity.
The company has been growing rapidly since emerging from stealth in 2018. It achieved Unicorn status in early 2022 and won the Black Unicorn Award that same year. It has also been recognised on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500, and in 2025 boasted a record year that saw it reach Centaur status (over $100 million in ARR).
