Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or related engineering
- 2+ years of professional experience with harnessing design and routing
- Experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, NX or similar 3D CAD software.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) as it relates to harness design (e.g., use of tools such as Cameo)
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with little input on requirements or management oversight
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to travel 20% of the time
- Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance
Desirable
- Experience with SolidWorks Electrical and Routing
- Experience implementing designs compliant with IPC/WHMA-A-620A or NASA-STD-8739.4
What the job involves
- True Anomaly is looking for you, a creative and experienced engineer, to develop and design harness assemblies and harness routing on spacecraft and test setups
- Designs will interconnect the electronics and power subsystem within the spacecraft. Interconnected systems include power, propulsion, guidance and navigation, data and telemetry
- The harnessing design and implementation are a crucial part of the spacecraft system
- Creates 3D harness routes considering bend radius, separation, and maintainability and manage technical trade studies
- Generate electrical interconnect diagrams and schematics by defining point-to-point connections for power, signals, and data links; understands grounding and shielding principles
- Interface and coordinate between various team members including engineering, program management, production and quality Create 3D models of harness designs using SolidWorks software
- Analyze harnesses with applicable quality and reliability standards
- Develop test equipment for IR/DWV testing
- Design and integrate harness routing within the spacecraft and test equipment
- Support production and quality assurance to clear obstacles and ensure build meets design intent
- Develop BOM’s and work within ERP system for production coordination
- Work environment—is in a standard office, working at a desk or in a production factory
- Physical demands—the physical demands of the job may include frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 20lbs

True Anomaly is a space tech startup composed of former military operators and engineers. The Colorado-based company is focused on building spacecraft and software solutions designed to secure U.S. commercial and military interests in space. It has already developed a fully-integrated platform with seamless satellite, navigation, and data-capture technologies that provide security and training for the quickly evolving space market.
Founded in 2022, True Anomaly has already designed its first spacecraft, the Jackal Autonomous Orbital Vehicle, which can be used to train operators on the ground or as intelligence-gathering tools against adversarial spacecraft. Alongside this, the startup has built a 35,000-square-foot facility in Denver to manufacture the Jackals.
With impressive capital gained in 2023 and 2025, the company validated the Jackal's technical and operational capabilities and made the necessary investments to scale production. And with its most recent capital injection, the company is ready to fund space missions and further scale its operations.
