Role

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 4-6 years of account management experience, preferably in the financial technology industry
  • Proven track record of managing portfolios and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-pressure environments managing multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of marketing technologies and and e-commerce preferred
  • Previous one-to-many platform management experience a plus

What the job involves

  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Client Success Lead (CSM) to join our team
  • The CSM will work with our strategic platform partners to set the direction of their programs, build internal advocacy and understanding of the Affirm platform, and implement initiatives that will expand the usage of Affirm within their channels
  • The Client Success position requires outstanding relationship management and program management skills
  • Deliver a proactive client management strategy to encourage growth & retention with our platform partners
  • Help launch, scale, and grow signed partners via active partner management and in collaboration with internal and external XFN teams
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to enhance platform partnerships
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and gather client feedback
  • Ensure alignment between client goals and internal priorities and deliverables
  • Translate complex concepts into concise, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Partner with internal teams to create internal SOPs for scaled platform management
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market developments to anticipate client needs
  • Collaborate effectively and engage cross-functional teams to successfully grow Affirm’s existing platform footprint
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and flexibility in navigating changing environments
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company products and services to provide accurate information and support to clients

Affirm offers point-of-sale loans to consumers, working with merchants like Shopify, KAYAK, and Walmart. Buy now, pay later transactions have grown in popularity in recent years, and this business is tapping into the market with a totally different approach to credit - by delivering the Affirm card, the first US debit card with the option to pay-over-time.

Boating over 15 million customers and 245,000+ merchants, the company offers flexible payback options, ranging from 3 to 36 months. The interest rates run between 0% and 30%, so, while they are not necessarily the cheapest option, Affirm prides itself on having no fees for late payments, no hidden charges, and total transparency about what people will pay before they take out a loan.

Affirm collects payments from the customers and pays the merchants directly, shouldering the risk itself.
