What the job involves

The Internal Communications and Events Planning Manager is responsible for driving effective internal communication and events on a global level. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute communication strategies, create engaging content, and plan and manage internal events that drive better company alignment and performance.
Increased employee engagement and alignment to company goals and initiatives
Successful execution of global internal events that support company culture and business objectives, including the annual Sales Kick-Off Meeting
Enhanced internal communication channels and content that effectively reaches and engages employees
Streamlined internal communications processes and workflows for maximum efficiency
Positive and measurable impact on employee morale, productivity, and retention
Develop and execute internal communication strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives
Create engaging content for a variety of internal audiences, company all-hands, intranet articles, videos, and social media posts
Manage and oversee the production of internal communication materials, including print and electronic publications, videos, and presentations
Plan and manage internal events, including company-wide meetings, town halls, and team-building activities
Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement communication plans for key initiatives, such as product launches, rebranding, and organizational changes
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in internal communications and events management
Identify and implement best practices to improve internal communication and events
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization

Menlo Security takes a “zero trust” approach to computer threats by isolating all of a business’s web browsing, putting it on a remote server. Instead of depending upon software to scan and search for threats, it prevents attacks from ever reaching the system. Browsing activity no longer takes place on the end user’s device, instead, it all happens on a remote cloud service which is operated by the company. This service is the largest secure web gateway in the world.

Menlo Security has focused on protecting businesses from web and email attacks, and its model means that it can be integrated with most popular browsers. A particularly appealing aspect of its service is that it doesn’t require businesses to install new software or change their approach, drastically reducing friction for users and making onboarding a far simpler experience.

Currently used by 8 out of 10 of the world's largest banks and capable of completely stopping up to 90% of threats, Menlo Security is in a strong position. It is still continuing to develop its services, however, most recently building out a range of AI-powered tools to detect and prevent phishing and ransomware attacks. Moves like this seem likely to help keep Menlo Security at the forefront of its sector.
