What the job involves

  • Join the highly regarded, high-performance Octopus Investments retail sales team—the driving force behind our success
  • As an External Business Development Manager (EBDM), you will educate and sell to a network of Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs), driving sales into our innovative investment products
  • We are committed to delivering a brilliant journey for all our customers, and your role will contribute to positive customer outcomes as part of the broader sales and customer team
  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy, including retaining, growing, and nurturing relationships with a network of Financial Advisers and Private Banks to maximize sales opportunities for the Octopus Investments product range through face-to-face meetings, events, and presentations
  • Collaborate with Internal Business Development Managers to create and deliver a regional business plan, ensuring strategic directions are met by developing pipeline and closing opportunities
  • Understand and effectively communicate a complex suite of solutions to Financial Advisers
  • Work seamlessly with Fund Managers and Business Line Managers to ensure products and messaging aligns with customer needs
  • Always act with the customer's best interest in mind, demonstrating a customer-obsessed approach
