Familiarity with building apps for iOS and Android using Swift, Kotlin, React Native or Flutter

What the job involves

We’re looking for an engineer to work within our SDK engineering team, which is an integral piece of our Amplitude ecosystem
You will have full ownership of our open source data collection libraries and plugins
These products are used by thousands of customers to send hundreds of billions of events to Amplitude each month
Join a team building a brand new Amplitude product and lead the design and development of its features for Android and iOS platforms
Lead design, development, and support of Amplitude’s mobile products
Reduce friction in the data setup experience all the way from SDK integration to building the first chart within Amplitude
As one of the team’s polyglots, write and test code in multiple programming languages, often on the same day
Provide technical customer support to engineers deploying our SDKs in their applications
Write developer documentation published in READMEs and our technical docs site
Extend CI/CD to automate the build process, testing, and deployment of SDKs to their respective package managers
Lead cross-functional collaboration with product and design teams to iterate on our products

Our take

Amplitude provides product analytics to help companies understand user behaviour. Product, marketing, and growth teams use Amplitude to discover and share insights about user engagement, retention, and revenue.

Amplitude’s user flows reveal which actions are the most commonly taken after users sign up, and which usually precede purchases made in-app, creating paths through the app. The behaviour of individual app users can be viewed with unlimited real-time activity feeds and user timelines.

Thousands of companies use Amplitude analytics including Microsoft, Under Armour, Intuit, Twitter, Bonobos, Peloton, and many more. In 2024, a securities fraud case was filed against Amplitude due to an IPO and stock share rise that was alleged to be artificially inflated before their downturn in 2022. Whilst this case is ongoing, Amplitude is still releasing new products and operating at full capacity.
