Who you are
- The ideal candidate will be passionate about television, movies, entertainment, and digital marketing
- They will have knowledge of performance marketing and/or creative
- You must be a current University student in your 2nd year of study, looking to spend your 3rd year on placement and graduating no earlier than July 2028
- Hands-on with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Strong communication skills and experience presenting data
- Knowledge of /work experience / internships in Digital Marketing ecosystem, working with channels such as Social, Display, YouTube, Search, Native and Discovery
- Knowledge of digital creative assets: specs, best practice, creative guidelines
- Experience in Dynamic creative optimization tools such as Smartly, Google Web Designer and dynamic creative optimization and feed management is a bonus
What the job involves
- Warner Bros. Discovery seeks a Creative Trafficking Intern for the Subscriber Acquisition Marketing team
- This role will supporting the trafficking our feeds for sports & entertainment and involved in wider team project whilst learning about subscriber acquisition and performance marketing
- This role demands an eye for detail and structure to be successful
- DCO (Dynamic Content Optimisation) is our standard assets delivery process, whereby campaign information, scheduling and creative elements are inputted into a feed (data spreadsheet)
- The creative assets are coming together automatically within the platform using ready-made templates
- This drives efficiency and allows for scaling campaigns across both creative production and media management
- The candidate will be pivotal in ensuring that the correct information is set up in the feed according to the media plan and media requirements
- They will also verify the accuracy of the creative output, confirm deliveries to the media teams and communicate with other teams as necessary
- Work closely with Creative team/ACQ team/Global buying team to populate the feed and communicate with internal teams to streamline workflow and asset delivery
- Monitor and maintain essential documents (specs, process, workflow, best practice, taxonomy)
- Manage the Media Drive & Smartly Library housing all creative files for trafficking
- Check assets for specs, correct dimensions and file formats
- Generate file naming conventions essential for performance measurement
- Traffic and deliver final files to automation platform or media team
- Confirm campaign launch has gone live
- Supporting the broader subscriber acquisition on projects to help development & learning
- Contract Length: 12 months
- You will gain hands-on experience working on business-critical projects

It is a leader in the creation, production, distribution, licensing, and marketing of content, with Warner Bros alone boasting a huge library – more than 100,000 hours of programming – before the companies were joined. WBD’s portfolio includes Discovery Channel, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Discovery+, HBO Max, and franchises like “Batman” and “Harry Potter”.
Both of the company’s previous businesses have operated throughout the digitisation of the media space. David Zaslav, CEO of WBD, headed Discovery during its expansion into digital media, to make it a “content company” over a “cable company”. Since the merger, the new giant that is Warner Bros Discovery has had a shaky start, forcing the company to wind down operations and cut back on content, which included the very public scrapping of the “Batgirl” movie. However, it now seems the company may have been ahead of the curve, as a wider trend of cutbacks has been seen from peers in the space. This early move, combined with a hyper-focus on cash generation, seeks to establish WBD as an outperformer in an industry on the downturn.
