Who you are
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Proven success selling to founders and startup executives — ideally in early-stage, high-growth, or tech-driven environments
- Deep understanding of the crypto and blockchain ecosystem — including fundraising models, tokenization, and major industry players
- Existing relationships or a strong network within the crypto startup community
- Strong business development and closing skills, with a track record of exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset — comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
What the job involves
- In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind bringing top-tier crypto projects to StartEngine’s platform.
- You’ll leverage your network, industry knowledge, and deal-making skills to source, vet, and sign innovative crypto companies looking to raise capital.
- You understand the players — from emerging DeFi protocols to established Web3 brands — and can identify which ones are ready to scale with equity crowdfunding
- Source, outreach to, and build relationships with crypto and blockchain founders
- Identify promising crypto projects that align with StartEngine’s mission and platform criteria
- Manage the full sales cycle — from initial outreach to signing and onboarding new clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth transitions from prospect to active campaign
- Stay up-to-date on trends, emerging players, and developments across the crypto and Web3 landscape
Our take
StartEngine – the largest equity crowdfunding platform in the US – allows everyday Americans to invest and own shares in startups and early-stage companies in a landscape that was previously dominated by experienced investors and venture capitalists.
Startups can craft investment pitches onto a webpage and raise capital from thousands of investors online. Investors, in turn, can browse through projects, diving deeper into campaigns and view necessary information like investor snapshots and financial documents laid out in a simple format. Unlike legacy crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter - which are typically used for one-off creative projects or financial assistance - StartEngine's pitches are thoroughly vetted and supported by Account Managers to help with legal and financial technicalities.
Although the largest, StartEngine faces stiff competition from platforms like Wefunder and Nextseed (who, although smaller in terms of deal volume, have a higher funding success rate at 93%). However, the company has passed 1 million registered users and saw big success in 2024, setting it up to see even further growth.
