Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or related field, or foreign equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation performing product management services within the cryptocurrency or financial technology space
- Experience must include utilizing Figma design tools; leveraging project management software such as Jira or Linear; working with fintech products; working on Bitcoin wallets; building on Bitcoin Layer 2 technologies; working on brokerage trading tools and experiences; cross-functional communication and collaboration; conducting UX research; working with compliance teams; creating marketing assets; working with operational teams; UX design; product and feature design; and performing data analysis and analytics
What the job involves
- Create product vision and strategy, including by defining long-term direction, setting measurable success metrics, and identifying market opportunities
- Create product roadmap, including by building and maintaining release plans, prioritizing features based on impact and resources, and communicating the roadmap to stakeholders
- Stakeholder alignment and communication, including by building consensus with leadership and cross-functional teams and resolving competing priorities
- Guide analytics and market research, including by directing analysis to support decision-making and validating market sizing
- Conduct high-level UX research oversight, including by approving scope and methods and ensuring insights inform roadmap
- Approve product designs, including by reviewing final UX/UI and validating alignment with strategy and user needs
Our take
The decentralised nature of cryptocurrency holds many to believe that it is the future of finance, resulting in a huge increase in people interested in investing in Bitcoin. However, existing platforms for Bitcoin purchasing are limited in functionality, aimed towards casual investors, and often insecure.
River offers a high-security Bitcoin brokerage that is aimed towards sophisticated investment as opposed to short-term and beginner trades. The product provides long-term investment tools such as recurring orders, performance tracking, and interest-bearing accounts - services that are rarely provided by existing cryptocurrency brokerages.
Despite the mass of cryptocurrency platforms available to use for free, River has found a unique selling point by focusing on long-term, well-informed, and professional Bitcoin investment. The company has partnered with Bitcoin Magazine to help drive the further adoption of Bitcoin and continues to deliver new features such as zero-fee recurring purchases in order to remain at the forefront of the industry.
