Who you are

10+ years of backend software engineering experience
Strong background in Python, Go, or Scala, with experience in distributed systems
Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS) and IaC (Terraform, Pulumi)
Experience with CI/CD and containerized deployments
Ability to collaborate across time zones and technical disciplines

What the job involves

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Basketview team, you’ll build high-performance systems and data services that underpin core analytics and client-facing tools
You’ll design distributed pipelines, mentor teammates, and work closely with Product, Data Science, and Infrastructure groups to evolve our backend platform
Lead the design and development of backend services processing high-volume consumer data
Architect systems to support real-time analytics and reporting pipelines
Build and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs for data access and modeling
Ensure reliability, observability, and maintainability across distributed systems
Collaborate with data engineers and product teams to align business and technical needs
Mentor engineers and contribute to architectural direction
Uphold security and compliance standards in data handling
Familiarity with NLP pipelines (embeddings, text processing) is a plus
Basketview’s platform combines backend services in Python and Go with Terraform, Pulumi, and Kubernetes
You’ll work cross-functionally with the Location and AI Products teams to build data services supporting analytics and model integration
