Who you are

  • At least 2+ years of talent acquisition experience, either house or as an embedded
  • Proven ability to attract and hire talent across different departments and channels while maintaining an outstanding candidate experience
  • Experience recruiting across multiple business units such as operations, finance, and marketing
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to positively influence and improve the recruitment process
  • High proficiency in recruiting platforms and tools. SmartRecruiters experience is a plus
  • Fluency in English and C1+ German

What the job involves

  • In your role as Talent Acquisition Specialist (m/f/d) you will manage hiring for our critical business functions
  • You will be key in attracting and hiring the right talent that will help Flink achieve our mission of giving people back time, by revolutionizing the way that they buy their groceries
  • Full-cycle Recruitment. Own and lead the end-to-end recruitment process, with a focus on our crucial business functions. Using data, market insights, and candidate feedback to guide your hiring managers to hire the right talent for Flink
  • Talent Sourcing. Leverage your sourcing skills to attract and win the best talent for Flink while building long-term relationships with talent pools and communities across the industry
  • Recruitment Analytics. Use data and metrics to further improve our processes as well as to develop meaningful and well-thought-out recruiting strategies
  • Stakeholder Managment. Build strong relationships with your key stakeholders, becoming a trusted partner on all hiring-related topics
  • Candidate Experience. Constantly strive to provide the highest level of candidate experience, always looking for ways to improve how potential future Flinkers experience our recruitment process

Our take

Online grocery delivery services in Europe range from early supermarket-specific services to the more recent success of mobile food-ordering applications. However despite thier proliferation grocery delivery services still face long waiting lists and logistic bottlenecks, with faster solutions coming with a compromise on the range and quality of products.

Flink provides an online website and mobile application for the delivery of fresh fruit, vegetables, and other organic-quality groceries to European homes. The company provides its services to 100 different European cities across Germany, the Netherlands and France, and claims that its grocery deliveries are provided at supermarket prices within 10 minutes of ordering.

Flink is one of the few remaining independent grocery delivery startups in Europe, with most of the others either having been acquired or shut down. German rival Gorillas for instance ate through its initial investments and was taken over in 2022. Flink has been playing a more conservative strategy, aiming for more steady growth, but had to receive a fresh investment round of 100 million euros in 2024 to help it outlast competitors. Rumors of a potential merger with competitor companies indicate the lengths that Flink is going to maintain its dominance in a market that, at present, is suffering from lower demand and higher costs.
