Role
Who you are
- Successful experience in Product Management: 3+ years as a Product Manager in B2B or B2C SaaS or FinTech, preferably with experience in product-led growth models (e.g., freemium, trial)
- Customer-Driven Mindset: Deep understanding of customer psychology, habit formation, and UI simplification to reduce friction and improve the customer journey
- Quantitative & Qualitative Analysis: Proficient in both data analytics (SQL, A/B testing) and user experience optimization techniques to drive actionable growth insights
- Cross-Team Coordination: Demonstrated ability to align strategies across development, marketing, and customer success teams, ensuring streamlined processes and cohesive goal attainment
Desirable
- Background in FinTech or experience working with small business clients
- Familiarity with growth tactics in subscription-based products and experience with marketing analytics and business intelligence tools
What the job involves
- As our Product Manager, you'll work directly with our leadership team, reporting to our CEO
- You’ll join a team of high-caliber professionals from Chime, Twitter, Instacart, E-Trade, McKinsey, Etsy, and eBay. If you're ready to make a significant impact, this role is for you
- Roadmap Execution: Collaborate with the Leadership Stakeholders to execute the product roadmap, focusing on improving onboarding, engagement, and retention. Ship new products and drive product experiments across digital channels (in-app, SMS, email, push notifications) to improve the user experience and the corresponding business impact
- Data-Driven Insights: Set up tracking, perform analyses, and drive A/B testing to identify growth opportunities, test product and feature changes, and iterate on approaches based on customer feedback and data insights
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Marketing, UX, Data, and Customer Success teams to optimize user flows, reduce friction, and enhance the overall customer experience
- Customer-Centric Product Development: Utilize qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer needs, identify user experience gaps, and prioritize product adjustments to increase customer engagement and retention
- Outcomes-Based Planning: Drive quarterly outcome-driven planning and support domain strategy formulation with cross-functional partners
- Market Research & Feedback Integration: Maintain direct connections with customers and customer success, leveraging insights to refine and enhance product-market fit
Our take
NorthOne’s API enabled mobile banking platform is targeted at small business owners, startups and freelancers who don’t have the capacity or business infrastructure to effectively manage their finances.
In exchange for a monthly fee, account holders get unlimited free transactions, invoicing tools, as well as connectivity with a range of popular business apps including PayPal, FreshBooks, Etsy, and Square. There are also no non-sufficient funds or overdraft fees, a penalty which costs US bankers millions per year.
Mobile financial services are expected to be worth $60 billion by 2025, and competition for a slice of the pie is fierce. Big banks, as well as other startups like Azlo and Bank Novo all stand beside NorthOne in targeting the growing SME market. However, with substantial funding at its back, the company has set its sights on becoming the go-to digital banking solution for small businesses.
