Role
Who you are
- You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- You are a very strong writer, clear thinker, and proactive worker—exhibiting an aptitude for both strategic thinking and detail-oriented execution
- You have a strong knowledge of and passion for crypto and familiarity with its media ecosystem—prevailing narratives, top publications, key podcasts, etc. You’re a daily user of Twitter (”X”)
- You have 5+ years of experience in corporate communications and/or journalism, with a keen understanding of storytelling and what makes for a compelling headline
- You have exceptional time management, organizational, and self-motivation abilities. Your work ethic is a source of pride. You know how to prioritize tasks and to deliver projects on time

What the job involves
- We’re looking for an exceptional individual to join our team and take on important responsibilities to help Bitwise scale
- You will report to the Head of Creative and Content Marketing, playing a critical role in a variety of high-impact communications projects across Bitwise. There will be a lot to learn, a huge impact to be had, and some lifelong relationships to be built along the way
- You will play a key role shaping and executing Bitwise’s media and communications strategy
- You will partner with Bitwise’s PR firm to secure and coordinate press opportunities, keeping them apprised of firm initiatives, upcoming content, and key priorities
- You will help coordinate announcements in the US with our colleagues and PR firms in Europe
- You will facilitate successful appearances for Bitwise spokespersons, working with Bitwise’s PR firm to schedule media coaching, provide salient talking points, and manage logistics where needed
- You will draft high-quality press releases (2x-4x/month) highlighting company milestones, product launches, new publications, and other noteworthy developments, collecting input from executives
- You will regularly draft social posts, emails, and other written content to amplify company news and boost engagement with crypto enthusiasts
- You will generate new ideas to raise Bitwise brand awareness, whether through new content, events, platforms, media appearances, etc
- You’ll be a team player, ready to roll up your sleeves and help wherever you can

Bitwise is the biggest cryptocurrency index fund manager in the world. The company buys up currencies that look promising, allowing people who are interested but wary to gain a little exposure to crypto without in-depth knowledge or major time investment.
This approach seeks to make cryptocurrency more accessible, which has rapidly attracted investors. It specializes in supporting and educating professional investors, and boasts relationships with RIAs, financial advisors and hedge funds alike.
The cryptocurrency market is still viewed as high-risk and volatile (many would say fairly), so these relationships are a demonstration of the company’s established trust.
