Who you are
- We are seeking a skilled practitioner, passionate about technology, and looking to expand their impact and responsibility
- A track record of solving complex technical problems
- Deep understanding of software design patterns (e.g., domain-driven design (DDD), microservices, event-driven architecture)
- Experience of planning and leading projects that delivered measurable impact for the business and customer
- Experience with using both Interpreted and Compiled languages
- We use C#, Go, Ruby, and Python
- Experience of Relational, NoSQL, and Columnar Databases
- We have PostgreSQL, Scylla, Mongo, Redis, ClickHouse, and more…
- Comfortable with Linux server management
- Practical experience with Kubernetes (K8s), Kafka, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and major cloud providers (AWS/GCP)
- Understanding of front-end frameworks (e.g., React) and web crawling/scraping methodologies is beneficial
What the job involves
- This role empowers you to be both a master craftsman and visionary leader, with a dynamic blend of hands-on development (70%) and strategic leadership (30%)
- You'll architect and drive forward the evolution of our Content Protection systems, bringing technical excellence to life through both writing code and inspiring your team to reach new heights
- Your expertise will shape our technical direction as you collaborate with product and operations partners to transform challenges into opportunities, mentor rising talent through meaningful 1:1s, and establish priorities that align our technical capabilities with business success
- You would serve as our go-to authority on Content Protection system implementations and improve the technical excellence of the team through leading by example and coaching others
- Design and implement high-impact technical solutions aligned with modern architectural practices
- Provide mentorship to your team, sharing best practices and driving continuous improvement
- Coordinate with stakeholders to translate product needs into technical deliverables, maintaining a high degree of code quality
- Cultivate an environment that values diverse perspectives and fosters a culture of growth, accountability, and learning
- Offer technical input on strategic decisions, collaborating with senior peers and product leads to steer project priorities effectively
- Lead a globally distributed team across multiple time zones stretching from +6 to -8
