What the job involves
- We are seeking a Senior Growth Marketing Manager to own and scale several of Pendulum’s key growth levers, including newsletter marketing, affiliate marketing, and growth experimentation
- Reporting to the VP of Consumer Revenue, this role is responsible for driving incremental revenue, improving customer lifetime value, and identifying new opportunities for efficient growth
- This is a highly hands-on role for a data-driven marketer who thrives in testing, learning, and optimizing across channels
- Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of Pendulum’s newsletter growth initiatives
- Develop and execute testing roadmaps across content, newsletter, cadence, offers, and messaging
- Partner with Brand, Data and Web teams to ensure newsletters balance credibility and brand with performance
- Own and scale Pendulum’s affiliate program end-to-end
- Teaming with an agency, recruit, onboard, and manage high-quality affiliate partners
- Optimize commission structures, incentives, and creative assets
- Monitor performance, ensure compliance and brand alignment, and identify opportunities for incremental revenue
- Identify, test, and scale new growth opportunities
- Run structured experiments across landing pages, offers, referral mechanics, and workflows
- Build lightweight business cases to evaluate new channels and initiatives
- Stay current on emerging growth tactics, platforms, and tools
- Own and report KPIs for newsletter, affiliates, and growth experiments (revenue, CAC, LTVLCAC and more)
- Use data to prioritize experiments and inform growth strategy
- Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate analysis, content iteration, experimentation, and operational workflows—driving greater efficiency and speed across growth initiatives
- Work closely with Brand, Creative, CX, Web and Data teams to align growth initiatives with broader business goals
- Drive adoption of new tools, technologies, and best practices to scale growth impact
Our take
Pendulum Therapeutics developed its product by analysing the genetic material of microbes in the human body. Its debut product, Pendulum Glucose Control, is a medical probiotic, the first of its type to be clinically proven to be effective at lowering blood sugar spikes in people with type 2 diabetes. Classified as a medical food, it bridges the gap between medication that can cause side effects and generic probiotic products that have no scientific backup with regard to efficacy.
Pendulum Glucose Control has been greatly in demand, and so with a $54M investment, manufacturing has scaled up. Other products from Pendulum include supplements for gut health and metabolism optimisation supplements, the latter also becoming a key product from the team.
In 2023, Pendulum increased its already thriving publicity with the appointment of actor Halle Berry as its CCO, hinting at a scaling up of its operations in line with its media visibility. Its 2024 breakthrough product has been its GLP-1 Probiotic drink, a first-of-its-kind drink to control metabolism.
